About Vermont Reads:
Do you like to read? Would you like a chance to talk about a book you’ve read with others in the community? If so, consider joining us for "Vermont Reads." The Vermont Humanities Council provides the library with multiple copies of discussion books, which can be picked up at the circulation desk.
Hilary Farrington, library building consultant, is visiting public libraries in smaller New England towns. She recently toured the Brown Public Library and has posted photos and complimentary observations on our library in her blog Library Space Traveler.
Examples of Past Events:

Participants in the reading program learned about four different cultures. One of the countries that children learned about was Guatemala. Click this link Kids Share Workshops visits the Brown Public Library for a description of the "Kids Share" program in Guatemala and to view a slideshow of Northfield children engaged in the workshop in the Community Room.
